The Millenium Hilton is located in one of the city's fastest growing neighborhoods: the Wall Street/Financial District. The surrounding area is rich with activities. Battery Park is an oasis of green on the South-Western tip of Manhattan, a great place to spend a sunny afternoon. The Statue of Liberty is nearly at your door. The South Street Seaport should also be on your list of place to vist for great shopping and dining. The Seaport features original mercantile buildings, renovated sailing ships in an area that houses some of the oldest architecture in Manhattan. Have a drink on the water. Neighborhood & Attractions

The Financial District is one of Manhattan's most esteemed neighborhoods. Home to Wall Street, the New York Stock Exchange, and the World Financial Center, lower Manhattan is oft considered the epicenter of American capitalism. This was also the original area where the Dutch settled New Amsterdam in the 1600's. The downtown area was a bustling settlement, while much of the rest of Manhattan was just empty grasslands.

In addition for being renowned for the historic Financial District, lower Manhattan also is home to Battery Park, a preserved green paradise on the Southern Tip of Manhattan, the South Street Seaport, whose cobblestone streets date back to the early 19th century.
